About 

Alexandra is a passionate performer and educator who has collaborated with prestigious orchestras and educational and arts institutions across Europe, including Opera de Lausanne, Sinfonietta de Lausanne, Montreux Jazz Festival, Gstaad Menuhin Festival Orchestra in Switzerland, Transylvania Philharmonic in Romania, Mahler Players, Nairn Books and Arts Festival, Chamber Music Scotland.

Her teaching experience includes roles at Sistema Scotland, Robert Gordon's College in Aberdeen, and the University of Aberdeen. In 2023, she took a significant step by founding Nairn Violin Studio, where she continues to nurture and inspire the next generation of violinists.

Research inspired by Jerome Bruner's "Theory of cognitive development", focused on parental involvement in children's first steps with violin playing.

Alexandra has had the privilege of studying under esteemed professors such as Lihay Bendayan and Virginie Robillard. She also participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Mihaela Martin (jury member at the Indianapolis, Enescu, and Tchaikovsky competitions), Rony Rogoff, Bartlomiej Niziol (lead violin, opera house Zurich).

Her research focused on the folk elements in George Enescu's compositions, earning her a special prize upon graduation.

Alexandra's first Master's degree was dedicated to exploring modern and contemporary pieces for solo violin. Her research and performances highlighted the innovative techniques and expressive potential of these compositions, showcasing her commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional violin music.
